2024-2025 Season Tryouts

The Dallas Penguins will be hosting team tryouts for birth years 2006-2015 where each player will receive 1 ice session.  Tryouts will be held at the Children's Health Star Center Plano and the cost will be 30 dollars.

Dallas Stars Travel Hockey League

The Texas Warriors play in the Dallas Stars Travel Hockey League (DSTHL) which is made up from teams in from Texas and Oklahoma. Our Tier II teams (18U-AA, 16U-AA, and 14U-AA) also compete in the Texas State Tournament for the chance to go to the National Tournament. Each of the teams also participate in a number of tournaments outside the state.

Dallas Stars Travel Hockey League

SAYHA invited to Join for the 2012-13 season

Frisco, Texas (May 4, 2012) – The Dallas Stars (NHL) today announced the launch of a new youth travel hockey league dedicated to the continued development of amateur hockey players across Texas. The Dallas Stars Travel Hockey League (DSTHL) will begin play in the fall of 2012.

With an eye toward streamlining Tier level hockey, enhancing the overall competitiveness of the league and striving to lower costs for entry level players, the new League continues the evolution of the "pyramid" that was begun with TAHA’s restrictions on Tier I play.

Jim Lites, President and CEO of the NHL Stars made the announcement this morning. Lites said, "We have embraced youth hockey and are deeply committed to growing the game at every age and skill level, but we want to balance participation with the development of the top players from the region. We would like nothing more than to see more of our young NHL prospects to be homegrown in our youth league."

The new League will feature four "Charter Member Organizations" competing at the AA level. Three organizations will be Dallas based (DJHA, Alliance and the Dallas Jr. Stars), and one organization in Houston (Wild). Additional AA members where competitive will be allowed from Austin (Texas Jr. Stars) and Oklahoma (OKC). Each organization will be allowed ONE team at AA in each age division.

The League will accept one additional AA organization at Midget Major and Midget Minor reflecting the number of potential players currently in the Dallas market at the midget age groups. The Allen Americans have been accepted to fill the fourth Midget AA slot (minor and major). Other "Affiliate Member Organizations" will compete at the A and B levels as determined by leveling play and evaluations.

The DSTHL teams will follow established protocols for game scheduling and game play will mirror USA Hockey official playing rules. Format for playoffs will be established by the Executive Committee.For additional information check the League web site often ( www .dsthl.com ) as updates will be posted there.

Competitive travel hockey is an exceptionally rewarding experience for youths. The Junior Steelheads program gives some of our community’s most talented and committed young men and women the exposure and opportunity to develop their skills while representing Idaho.  And hockey is teaching our kids so many valuable life lessons such as discipline, teamwork, leadership, and accountability. Our mission is to provide and implement a positive learning environment for young players to gain the maximum benefits of participating in a competitive sports program. We believe in challenging them to embrace school academics, demanding dedication to sportsmanship as individuals and teammates both on and off the ice, enhancing skill development, developing good work habits, helping them set goals and plans to reach those goals. The Palouse Youth Hockey Association (PYHA) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization which fosters national and international amateur sports competition, and is dedicated to the development, advancement, and enjoyment of youth hockey on the Palouse (roughly the region of southeastern Washington and north central Idaho).

PYHA, in partnership with USA Hockey and the Idaho Amateur Hockey Association (IAHA), aims to provide a safe, enjoyable, and challenging hockey experience to those who want to participate in our program.

It is the policy of this organization that there shall be no physical or sexual abuse of any PYHA participant. Additionally, PYHA does not discriminate on the basis of age, race, color, religion, gender, gender identity/expression, sexual orientation, nor national origin.

HOCKEY PROGRAMS

PYHA offers three hockey programs: our traditional house hockey program (8U - 18U teams), a Learn to Play program, and a Girls Development program.

Please register before 8/20 for travel teams to help us define the size and number of teams. After 8/20, those teams will have a $100 late fee. Non-travel teams have an 11/1 deadline.

Flathead Valley Hockey Association

FVHA is a non-profit organization (EIN 14-1985774) established in January 2007.  The organization was formed for the purpose of creating, organizing, administering and managing youth hockey programs at the Woodland Ice Center in Kalispell, Montana.

FVHA operates mostly on volunteer efforts coupled with charitable donations and member fees. It owns the ice skating rink and manages the community skate center located at Woodland Park. Woodland Ice Center is open to the public for public skate, men’s and women’s adult hockey programs, school and private group rental events as well as the youth hockey program.
