Though Beyoncé headlined a show in Dubai — her first concert in four years at the time — she didn’t play any songs from Renaissance , Rolling Stone ‘s No. 1 album of 2022 (“the musical highlight of the year”) and a frontrunner at the 65th Grammys .

The Renaissance World Tour still has 11 concert dates across eight cities, including three shows in Inglewood, California. In addition to one stop in Vancouver, Canada, the remaining shows will be held in the United States. Tickets are the most expensive in Beyoncé's hometown of Houston, Texas. Where to buy tickets for Beyoncé 2023 Renaissance tour

You can purchase original tickets to Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour through Ticketmaster , although only a select number remain for each 2023 date and location. However, the tickets still available on Ticketmaster are typically more expensive than those found on verified resale platforms such as StubHub and Vivid Seats .

The prices for standard tickets to Beyoncé's concerts from StubHub start at approximately $102 on the lower end to nearly $400, depending on the venue. Vivid Seats offers similar price ranges for standard Renaissance World Tour tickets, ranging from about $100 in Las Vegas to $375 in Houston. When considering VIP packages, the cost increases significantly on each purchasing platform.

How much are Beyoncé tickets?

The prices for original Beyoncé concert tickets have risen considerably since the end of the initial Verified Fan Sale through Ticketmaster. Additionally, the cost of an original ticket varies depending on the demand for a particular location and date.

For instance, the cheapest price on Ticketmaster for a standard original ticket to the 2023 Renaissance World Tour is $91.83 for her Las Vegas, Nevada show on August 27. However, there are very few standard original tickets remaining for Beyoncé's concerts, so you may have better luck with verified resales.

Meanwhile, some original VIP packages, such as the Pure/Honey on Stage Risers, cost well over $3,000. At Beyoncé's August 30 performance in Santa Clara, the original VIP package costs $3,601. Who is opening for Beyoncé's tour?

Beyoncé's world tour does not include any opening acts from other artists. Once the showtime begins for each concert date, it will be the Queen Bey herself who comes onstage.

There are no traditional opening acts for the 2023 Renaissance World Tour because Beyoncé is technically the opener to her own concerts. The time typically reserved for other artists at the start of the concert instead sees Beyoncé sing R&B ballads from her early discography, beginning with her Destiny's Child-era 2000 song "Dangerously in Love 2."

Approximately four songs are played in Beyoncé's "Opening Act" before moving into her "Renaissance" tracks. The concert is approximately two and a half hours long with 31 songs on the setlist, so Beyoncé's tour has more than enough hit music to fill the night.

Tickets for these dates of Beyoncé's tour are now on sale: What fans need to know

Tickets to the first of three groupings of  Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour dates went on sale Monday and, not surprisingly, are doing brisk business for the Grammy legend.

In fact, her first show – May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden – sold out Tuesday, prompting the singer to add an additional Stockholm show on May 11.

Back in the U.S., staggering on-sale dates have prevented ticket sale meltdowns  (so far anyway) as experienced when Taylor Swift put her tour tickets up for grabs last year .

Queen Bey, who Sunday night became the  all-time Grammy champion , announced her tour last week and immediately saw fan demand exceed the number of tickets by 800%.

Group A tickets are now on sale. If you're in Groups B and C, there's still some time to get a seat to what promises to be one of the hottest tours in years.

How much are Beyoncé tickets?

USA TODAY found face-value ticket prices that ranged from $62 and up. Club Renaissance tickets were closer to $1,000, and some floor seats were $300 and bowl seats were around $500. Ticket prices will vary according to city and venue.

Many artists have begun to give concert promoters the OK to make a portion of each show's best seats subject to Dynamic Pricing , which is an attempt to match demand with the supply of premium seats.

The end result can sometimes be prices that far exceed original face value, as some fans of Bruce Springsteen found when dynamically priced seats for his tour cost upwards of $4,000. Only about 12% of Springsteen tickets were sold this way, his management reported.

Beyoncé tour sales are off to a smoother start. What does that mean for Ticketmaster?

All eyes are on Ticketmaster as the first tickets for the North American leg of Beyoncé's Renaissance tour go on sale. And the ticketing giant appears to be feeling the heat — and making some changes — after its widely panned Taylor Swift presale in November.

Ticketmaster announced last week that it would be dividing cities into three groups, each with its own staggered registration deadlines and presale dates, in addition to using its Verified Fan system to try to minimize bots. (It ended up closing registration for the last two groups on Sunday, citing outsize demand.)

There was much buzz within and beyond the BeyHive ahead of the first round of presale on Monday. Fans flooded Twitter with prayers and memes, while the Senate Judiciary Committee — which held a hearing into competition in the ticketing industry last month — tweeted a warning : "We're watching."

Ticketmaster itself sought to temper fans' expectations , explaining in advance how the ticketing process would work and warning that many would likely end up empty-handed because demand exceeded the number of available tickets by more than 800% for Group A cities alone.

"It is expected that many interested fans may not be able to get tickets because demand drastically exceeds supply," it cautioned on Friday.

And the company kept communication going as the first round of tickets for Group A — with cities including Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas, Toronto and Washington, D.C. — went on sale on Monday.

It tweeted out schedule reminders , status updates and waitlist announcements throughout the afternoon, periodically reassuring fans that "queues remain secure." It also responded to some users' questions ("Verified Fan does not measure how big a fan you are") and retweeted several triumphant posts of fans who had managed to snag tickets.

Ticketmaster faces a big test: Beyoncé's Renaissance tour

Ticketmaster also published a blog post detailing steps it is taking in the "arms race against abusive ticket scalping." Among them, it said, it had "already built new defenses that are working against past tactics" and would have engineers "standing by in real time to monitor attempted attacks and build new defenses if needed."

Monday's sales appeared to go relatively smoothly, or at least without reports of any major crashes. Still, it remains to be seen how the sales planned for the rest of the month will turn out, or whether these changes are enough to appease critics who accuse Ticketmaster of acting as a monopoly and want to see it broken up.

Carolyn Sloane, a labor economist at the University of California, Riverside — whose "Rockonomics" class is currently studying the Ticketmaster drama — says while Ticketmaster's approach to the Renaissance tour is a step in the right direction, these changes alone won't solve the problems we're seeing.

Sloane tells NPR that external pressures like political oversight and the threat of enforcement are mirroring the kind of pressure that Ticketmaster (which controls more than 70% of the market for ticketing and live events) would face in a more competitive landscape, and that's forcing it to invest more in things like communication with customers.

But she says it's not realistic to think that there will be much change in the market without some sort of structural remedy (in the form of something like forced divestment or an updated consent decree from the U.S. Justice Department).

"Absent enforcement activity, you're probably just going to see some kind of status quo with how the ticketing market looks right now," Sloane says — adding that in a perfect world there would be less consolidation in all parts of the music industry, including streaming.

Lucky fans say tickets were worth the stress

The opening day of ticket sales seemed to go more smoothly for Renaissance than Swift's The Eras Tour, though it wasn't without complaints.

Some Twitter users accused Ticketmaster of using dynamic pricing (though the company tweeted that prices hadn't fluctuated during the sale and were instead showing up as ranges for available tickets), and there were reports of fans having issues getting companion tickets for accessibility purposes.

Still, there didn't appear to be tech issues or traffic peaks big enough to force Ticketmaster to pause or postpone sales, as was the case in November.

Fans who were able to get tickets on Monday told NPR that the experience was stressful but not as harrowing as they had feared.

Jared Moses, a 28-year-old based in Memphis, prepared by reading Ticketmaster's instructions and tips from Beyoncé fan pages on social media.

He wasn't actually too worried before his presale opened, because he saw posts from lots of people who had been waitlisted and figured he was one of a relatively manageable number of people with access — plus he hoped that Ticketmaster had learned from its past mistakes.

"A lot of the Beyoncé fans ... were joking, like, 'Yeah let's just let the Swifties figure this out, so it'll be better by the time Beyoncé tickets come out,' " he said, referring to the Eras tour debacle.

James Barringer, a college senior, said he set the mood by listening to what he described Beyoncé's most iconic live performances, like those at the Super Bowl and the Video Music Awards. He entered the virtual waiting room at 2 p.m. around number 1,600 in line, and was able to get his tickets (for a New York show in July) by 2:20 p.m.

"So it only took 20 minutes, which was pretty amazing," he said. "But I had logged on quite early and was just sort of waiting around all afternoon, anxious to get tickets."

Barringer was cognizant of the pressure on Ticketmaster to deliver, calling Monday a big day both for Beyoncé fans and the company. And he hopes "the good times keep rolling for Ticketmaster," for everyone's sake.

"The BeyHive will rip the site down, like the BeyHive will get Congress to finally take action if action needs to be taken," he added.

Destinie Brooks, who is based in Chicago, says she's been researching social media threads by people who have managed to get high-demand concert tickets in the past, but she's also keeping her expectations low ahead of her presale date this weekend.

That said, she acknowledges that presale is a lottery — with no regard for how much Beyoncé merch or music she's bought in the past — and there's only so much she can do.

"So at this point I'm just remembering the tips, I'm mentally preparing to be in a certain headspace on Saturday like an hour before the tickets drop, and it's just nothing but prayers," she said. "Just prayers."

The case for why non-Bey fans should care

Sloane, the economics professor, says it's worth looking at the music industry through an economic lens even though it's relatively small in terms of its revenue and political influence. She cites two main reasons:

"One, kind of for the emotional presence that it has in our lives, it makes sense to explore it," she says. "But beyond that, a lot of what we see happening in the music industry does reflect what is happening in the economy writ large and also kind of leads the trends of what we're seeing in the greater economy."

Understanding the state of antitrust enforcement in the United States

Sloane says Ticketmaster has done good things for the industry, like creating the modern infrastructure for computerized ticketing and being the connector between fans and venues. But, like many, she says it lacks competitive incentives that would push it to improve things like technology and communications.

Now — after botched sales, public pushback, reputational challenges and the threat of antitrust enforcement — she sees Ticketmaster taking action in real time, whether that's through staggering its presales or sending an executive to testify in front of Congress. Still, she says that's no substitute for competitive pressure.

"In the absence of that competitive pressure, you know, we might see some other unsavory activity in the future or not kind of fully efficient activity in the future," she says. "And so that's always going to kind of be a question. But this is not just hanging over Ticketmaster. And it's not just hanging over the live event space of the music industry. It's over every part of the music industry."

Sloane says every part of the music industry is "extremely consolidated," with the exception of music publishing, and she thinks that will continue to be an issue regardless of what happens with Ticketmaster.

Plus there's only so much Ticketmaster can do to meet the outrageous demand for certain concerts, which she says can be explained in part by years of demand pent up during the pandemic and the fact that younger consumers are increasingly experience-driven.

But even if getting tickets for big-name performances continues to be high stakes and high stress, Sloane says there's reason for hope.

"People should get out there and see shows that are not just stadium shows," she says. "There's a lot of great theater shows and local venue shows that you can get tickets for and have that experience of going to a great show and maybe discovering some new music. So in that sense, there's always going to be stuff to go to. It might just be more expensive to go to the top 1% of performer shows."

After weeks of unconfirmed speculation, the “Alien Superstar” singer finally announced she’s touring her latest album, Renaissance . The new roster of shows is her first tour since her 2017 On The Run II tour with her husband, JAY-Z. Before that joint excursion, she performed solo at her 2016 Formation World Tour.

Interestingly, fans asked a similar question to Ticketmaster on how they’ll handle traffic once tickets go on sale. IYDK, the ticket site is still embroiled in Taylor Swift’s Eras tour disaster . With that said, seeing Beyoncé on tour is a rare occasion and that adds a Hunger Games -tinged level of competition in trying to purchase tickets.

That looming dedication has already reared its head, as fans noted Beyoncé’s website seemingly crashed while trying to register for tickets this morning. Similar to Swift, the singer offered a verified fan registration, which sees that those who registered for a specific city will get first dibs on tickets when they go on sale on Feb. 6. The registration will run until Feb. 2.

Beyoncé first hinted at her Renaissance tour during the fifth annual Wearable Art Gala in October 2022. The event held several biddings, including a $20,000 “UNIQUE experience” package that included two tickets to see Beyoncé on tour amongst other luxe prizes. Even though fans were anxiously awaiting for her to release the dates, the drop still came as a shock. And honestly, it posed another question that’s hilariously taken on a life of its own: Beyoncé, where are the visuals for Act I?

Want to get Beyoncé tickets? Ticketmaster just shared step-by-step instructions

Editor's Note (Feb. 6 at 10:10 a.m.): This article has been updated to note that registration for the Group B and C presales has closed.

Demand is already astronomical for tickets to Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour , with fans on Twitter saying they’re “ready to fight” for a shot to see Queen Bey live. In fact, so many people registered as Verified Fans in North America that Live Nation closed registration early, on Sunday, Feb. 5.

With presale tickets going on sale Feb. 6 for the certain shows in the North American leg of the tour, which starts in July, Live Nation is sharing step-by-step instructions for fans hoping to nab a seat.

Ticketmaster is no doubt keen to avoid the chaos that ensued around ticket sales for Taylor Swift’s upcoming Eras Tour.

For the Beyoncé tour sales, Ticketmaster said in a recent release that it’s implementing measures to “ensure more tickets get into the hands of concertgoers,” using a Verified Fan registration system to “help filter out buyers looking to resell tickets.”

How to get Beyoncé tickets

According to Ticketmaster, fans should follow these steps for a shot at Beyoncé tour tickets:

1. Register as a Verified Fan in the correct group, based on the city you'd like to attend a concert in

Registration for Verified Fan status via Live Nation was open through Feb. 5. Becoming a Verified Fan does not guarantee a ticket.

Registration has been divided into three groups, organized by city. These groups originally had staggered registration dates, but due to high demand, organizers closed registration for all groups on Feb. 5.

Group A — Registration was open through Feb. 2 at 11:59 ET, for shows in these cities:

• Atlanta, Ga. 
• Chicago, Ill.
• East Rutherford, N.J.
• Houston, Texas
• Inglewood, Calif.
• Las Vegas, Nev.
• Toronto, Canada
• Vancouver, Canada
• Washington, D.C.

2. Verify your registration

Ticketmaster said it would verify each request to register to ensure “it belongs to an individual — not a bot — and that it hasn’t been tied to irregular behaviors that could be a sign of a professional seller attempting to access the sale for purposes of reselling tickets.”

Responding to concerns about people buying tickets only to resell them at a markup, Ticketmaster said that "historically, Verified Fan onsales see only about 5 percent of tickets end up on the secondary market," rather than the "20 to 30 percent which is typical for non-Verified Fan onsales."

3. Get assigned either an access code or a spot on the waitlist

After registering as a Verified Fan, ticket hopefuls will either be assigned an access code or added to a waitlist, likely via "lottery-style" selection process, according to Ticketmaster.

People assigned an access code will have access to the Verified Fan sale. Having a code does not guarantee getting tickets, which will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so Ticketmaster recommends logging on promptly at the designated time, code in hand.

Meanwhile, fans added to the waitlist “may be invited to join the sale if tickets remain,” according to Ticketmaster.

In addition to general presale, there are a few presale options available for Beyoncé tour tickets.

Registration for the presales is now closed. The day before the presales for each group (which take place Feb. 6, Feb. 13 and Feb. 20), registered fans should receive an email letting them know whether they have been waitlisted, or given a unique access code to try for a ticket.

• Beyhive Nation presale:  Registered members of the BeyHive were able to access the BeyHive presale here through Feb. 2 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
• Citi Presale: Eligible Citi credit or debit card holders were able register for a shot at presale tickets here until Feb. 3.
• Verizon Up Presale: Fans with Verizon Up First Access can get “first dibs” on Renaissance World Tour tickets, according to Verizon’s website .

The Renaissance World Tour kicks off May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, and will kick off its U.S. leg on July 12 with a show in Philadelphia. The tour will wrap on Sept. 27 in New Orleans.

After a six-year break, Beyonce announced her return to the world’s stages in a massive tour to promote her seventh studio album, Renaissance.  

The highly-anticipated extravaganza will mark Queen Bey’s first run of UK live performances since her On the Run tour – which made 48 stops across North America and Europe in 2018. 

In the aftermath of the sell-out string of shows, the megastar thrilled audiences at Coachella and allowed Netflix’s cameras to film the event for her concert movie, Homecoming.

The 2023 tour is due to kick off on May 10, 2023, at Friends Arena in Stockholm and will then continue making stops throughout Europe in cities such as Cardiff, Edinburgh, Sunderland, Paris, London , Marseille, Amsterdam and Warsaw, to name but a few. 

Beyonce will then take her chart-topping tunes across the water to North America, performing shows in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Houston. 

Other key cities that are expecting a visit from the Crazy In Love singer include Brussels, Barcelona, Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Boston, Charlotte, Dallas, Detroit, Kansas City, Louisville, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, St. Louis, Tampa and Vancouver.

Where do tickets for Beyonce’s shows go on sale?

General sale tickets will be available from 10am today (Tuesday, February 7) via Ticketmaster .

You can try to nab tickets for the star’s U.K. shows at the Cardiff Principality Stadium , the BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh , the Stadium of Light in Sunderland , and two dates at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on May 29 and May 30.

You can also try to secure tickets via LiveNation .

Pre-sale tickets went on sale yesterday (Monday, February 6) with an exclusive sale for BeyHive members from 10am to 6pm.

How much will tickets cost?

News of ticket prices for the Renaissance tour have yet to be released.

Previously, the star’s Formation tour tickets in the UK ranged from £77.50 to £385.

Comparing previous price lists and the long awaited-ness of this run, it’s likely a seat at the upcoming performances won’t come cheap and could be higher than previous years.

Brace yourselves, Beyhive, the day has finally come. No,  Beyoncé  hasn't released the visuals for her  latest record-breaking album . But she has confirmed she'll take it on tour!  

On Wednesday, the 41-year-old singer kicked off Black History Month with the announcement that her much-hoped global tour will begin selling tickets on Monday, Feb. 6. 

"RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR 2023," she wrote on Instagram beneath album art of her now-iconic photoshoot with a glowing horse. 

Similar to Taylor Swift's now-famous tour sale, the tickets will first become available via an exclusive presale for registered BeyHive members. The tour, produced by Parkwood Entertainment, and promoted by Live Nation, will begin May 10 at Friends Arena in Stockholm, SE. 

Beyoncé will then make stops throughout Europe in Cardiff, Edinburgh, Sunderland, Paris, London, Marseille, Amsterdam, Warsaw and more. She will then continue across North America with shows in Toronto, Chicago, East Rutherford, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Houston and more.

According to a press release, Beyoncé will make her mark offstage, too, with BeyGOOD, the initiative she founded in 2013 to support people and programs around the world. In various cities throughout the tour, BeyGOOD will support entrepreneurs through Black Parade Route luncheons, celebrating small business owners, with grant opportunities being awarded and a foray of services with global partners to promote business sustainability. One thousand small businesses will be supported with a commitment totaling one million dollars.

BeyGOOD will also support students through scholarship funds that will be given to colleges and universities in ten different cities along the tour. Each school will be given one hundred thousand dollars and will select the student recipients. BeyGOOD’s total scholarship commitment during the  Renaissance World Tour will be one million dollars.

Working with Beyoncé and the BeyGOOD Foundation, Citi and Verizon will purchase 100 tickets combined in each market across the U.S. touring leg for distribution to local community initiatives.

The singer's highly anticipated return to the road marks her first live tour since 2017, when she and her husband, JAY-Z, hit the road for their joint  On the Run II  tour. 

Fans began speculating that a tour announcement was imminent last September when  Page Six  --  citing multiple insider sources -- claimed that the star was already  booking out stadiums  around the world for next summer and that an official announcement could be arriving soon. 

The next month, Beyoncé and JAY-Z made an appearance at the WACO Theater's Wearable Art Gala where the unique opportunity to see Beyoncé live in concert was listed as an auction item. "United x WACO offers you a chance to see Beyoncé on her  Renaissance Tour  starting in the summer of 2023 at any of United’s national and international destinations around the world," the package description read in a photo shared from the event.

Valued at $20,000, the concert package included two first-class international United Airline Polaris tickets to select cities, with three-night hotel accommodations at a Marriott Property, as well as two concert tickets to Beyoncé’s 2023 tour, and a guided backstage tour with the singer herself. 

Though the final price of the package is unconfirmed, a fan who attended the event  tweeted that the package  was won at a price tag of $150,000.

Beyoncé released  her seventh studio album  in July to critical acclaim. She's earned several awards since its release, including  Album of The Year, Song of the Year at the  2022 BET Soul Train Awards . She also nabbed nine nominations for the upcoming GRAMMYs, including Record and Song of the Year for "Break My Soul," Album of the Year, Best R&B Performance for "Virgo's Groove," Best Traditional R&B Performance for "Plastic Off the Sofa" and Best R&B Song for "Cuff It."

The singer also earned her first-ever career nominations in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording and Best Dance/Electronic Music Album categories for "Break My Soul" and  Renaissance , respectively.

If Beyoncé wins three of her nine nominations at the upcoming awards ceremony in February, she will tie the record for most GRAMMY wins of all time. If she wins four, the record will be hers alone .

Fans can register for presale tickets on the singer's website , with tickets going on sale beginning on Feb. 6.

The  65th Annual GRAMMY Awards  will take place on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and will broadcast and stream live on CBS and  Paramount+ . Beyoncé Announces Renaissance World Tour

The star’s first solo tour since 2016 will start May 10 in Stockholm.

For the first time since 2016 — a world before Beychella , Covid-19 and “Renaissance” — Beyoncé will headline a solo tour, the singer announced in a social media post on Wednesday.

Beginning on May 10 in Stockholm, and continuing in Europe through June before coming to North America, the Renaissance World Tour, in support of her seventh solo album, will run for at least 40 dates, largely in stadiums, according to dates posted to Beyoncé’s website . The tour includes one night at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey (July 29) and one at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. (Sept. 2) amid stops in Chicago, Philadelphia, Toronto, Atlanta, Phoenix and Miami.

Limited tickets for certain tour dates will go on sale beginning Monday for members of Beyoncé’s BeyHive fan club, followed by the staggered release of additional tickets by market, using a complex registration system for various tiers of buyer.

The tour, produced by Beyoncé’s Parkwood Entertainment and promoted by Live Nation, will use Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan system , which aims to limit bots and professional scalpers, marking one of the first major tests for Ticketmaster since extraordinary demand for early tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour last year led to fan backlash and regulatory scrutiny . At a Senate Judiciary hearing last month spurred by the botched presale, artists, fans and politicians cast Live Nation Entertainment, the concert industry giant that owns Ticketmaster, as a monopoly that hinders competition and harms consumers.

Beyoncé’s shows will be the singer’s first live events available to the public since the On the Run II tour with her husband, Jay-Z, in 2018, tied to the surprise release of a joint album, “Everything Is Love,” by the duo billed as the Carters. Beyoncé last toured alone behind her previous solo album, “Lemonade,” in 2016. Two years later, she headlined the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

That show — which went on to be released as “Homecoming” (2019), a live album and concert film — was called “rich with history, potently political and visually grand” in a review by the New York Times critic Jon Caramanica. “By turns uproarious, rowdy, and lush. A gobsmacking marvel of choreography and musical direction.”

In the years since, Beyoncé has surfaced intermittently, including with songs like “Black Parade,” which won a Grammy Award for best R&B performance, and “Be Alive,” which appeared in the movie “King Richard” and was nominated for an Oscar. Last year, in a taped performance, Beyoncé performed the song at the 94th annual Academy Awards.

But the singer made a return to the pop mainstream in earnest with the July 2022 release of “Renaissance,” a dance-floor-oriented album that she said was inspired by the L.G.B.T.Q. community and has spawned hits like “Break My Soul” and “Cuff It.” At the Grammy Awards on Sunday, Beyoncé is nominated nine times , with a chance to become the most-awarded artist in history.

Upon its release, the singer called “Renaissance” part of a “three act project” that she recorded during the pandemic. “My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment,” she wrote of the album, which was billed as Act I. “A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom.”

Major music touring has largely recovered, especially at its highest levels, since the Covid-19 pandemic. According to the industry trade publication Pollstar , touring grossed a record-setting $6.28 billion last year, up more than 13 percent from 2019, due in part to pent-up fan demand, inflation and major acts like Bad Bunny, Elton John and Harry Styles.

In addition to Beyoncé’s shows, this year will see blockbuster tours from artists including Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Metallica, Morgan Wallen and Madonna.

Last month, Beyoncé proved more polarizing than usual when she headlined the grand opening of a luxury hotel in Dubai, performing for an invite-only collection of guests, including influencers and journalists.

While some fans decried the optics of taking a major payday in a place that criminalizes homosexuality — “Beyoncé’s Dubai performance isn’t just an affront to LGBTQ+ fans, but workers’ rights in the UAE,” The Guardian declared — others noted that the singer’s set list did not yet include songs from “Renaissance.”

Presale Begins for Beyoncé's ‘Renaissance' Tour: What DC Fans Need to Know

Only people who registered as “verified fans” through beyoncé's official fan club will be able to buy tickets on monday, by nbc washington staff • published february 6, 2023 • updated on february 7, 2023 at 5:21 pm.

Ticketmaster is releasing its first batch of tickets for Beyoncé's highly anticipated world tour on Monday, including for the two shows in D.C.

The tour is scheduled to stop at FedEx Field on Aug. 5 and 6. A small number of the D.C. show tickets will go on sale at 3 p.m. Monday.

Only people who registered as “verified fans” through Beyoncé's official fan club will be able to buy tickets on Monday. Ticketmaster emailed some of those users on Sunday evening with a unique access code to the presale.

Those who did not receive a code were placed on the waitlist, according to Ticketmaster. They will only receive access to the sale if tickets are still available.

D.C. is in registration Group A, along with several other cities. There are two additional Group A sales dates in the U.S.:

• Citi Presale powered by Verified Fan: Tuesday, Feb. 7 – Wednesday, Feb. 8
• General Verified Fan Onsale: Saturday, Feb. 11

Ticketmaster has warned that ticket demand is high.

"Fan demand exceeds the number of tickets available by more than 800% based on the registration numbers in the Group A cities," the Ticketmaster blog read.

Ticketmaster will also be under scrutiny during the sale. Beyoncé's "Renaissance" tour will be the company’s most high-profile test since the botched roll-ou t of Taylor Swift's "Eras" tour in November.

The controversy resulted in several lawsuits from Swift fans, who claimed the company fixed prices and violated antitrust laws.  

Those concerns led to a Senate hearing last month to investigate a “lack of competition” in the ticketing industry.

Ticketmaster has blamed the system-wide crash on "extraordinarily high demands on ticketing systems" and insufficient inventory.

Last week, the Senate Judiciary Committee warned that it is watching how Ticketmaster will handle this latest roll-out.

Beyoncé is bringing the 'Renaissance' tour to Louisville. Here's how you can get tickets

Beyoncé's show in Louisville is months away, but the Beyhive is already buzzing.

It's been more than a decade since Queen Bey performed in the city, but she recently announced her "Renaissance" world tour will include a stop in Louisville, and we're as excited as you are. The pop singer will perform at the newly renamed L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium on July 17, one of the 41 stops scheduled for cities across North America and Europe.

Some other U.S. cities on the tour include Nashville, Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, New York City, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Houston, while European dates include Stockholm, Edinburgh, Paris, London and several others.

"Renaissance," Beyoncé's seventh studio album, helped her become one of the most nominated people in Grammy history with 88 total nominations, including nine this year . Her latest work has been nominated for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best New Artist and Song of the Year at the Grammys.

Tickets will be in high demand, so here's what we know about the show so far.

How much will Beyoncé tickets cost?

Ticket prices for Beyoncé's "Renaissance" tour haven't been released yet, but dynamic pricing could be a factor. Dynamic pricing is an algorithm that analyzes real-time supply and demand in the market, similar to how pricing for Uber ride-sharing or plane tickets works.

Ticketmaster released figures that indicate about 12% of ticket sales are listed as platinum, which means they could be affected by dynamic pricing. In the past, that has meant seats for top-selling artists could be exorbitant, like the time Bruce Springsteen's best seats went for $4,000.

It's not a unique phenomenon, either. Dynamic pricing requires the consent of the artist, and artists like The Weeknd, Alicia Keys and Carrie Underwood have offered their best tickets on the premium.

When do Beyoncé tickets go on sale?

Louisville is in registration Group C, and Ticketmaster's website said, "in consultation with tour organizers, all remaining registration windows" closed at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 5.

How do I get Beyoncé tickets?

Potential attendees can register through a few different platforms for a chance to get presale tickets.

• Beyhive presale with Verfied Fan : The presale for Group C Beyhive members is supposed to be on Feb. 20 .
• Citi cardmember presale : Presale for Citi members in Group C cities is supposed to be between 10 a.m. on Feb. 21 and 6 p.m. on Feb. 22.
• Verified Fan Onsale registration via Ticketmaster: The Onsale for Group C cities is supposed to be on Feb. 25.
• Verizon Up presale : Group C members of this group are supposed to be able to get presale tickets from 10 a.m. on Feb. 23 and 6 p.m. on Feb. 24.

Do I need to create a Verified Fan account?

Creating a Verified Fan account could help fans avoid getting left behind when it comes to ticket sales or having to pay for second-hand tickets, where prices are often way higher than market value.

So what will the process for getting Beyoncé tickets look like?

• Create for an account or sign in to Verified Fan to register for Beyoncé tickets. Users will then receive a confirmation email. Ticketmaster will then authenticate your account.
• A lottery system will then determine who will get a presale code and who will get put on a waitlist.
• Fans will get a status update the day before tickets go on sale. Those who get put on the presale list will get an access code to purchase tickets. If you don't get an access code, you will get put on a waitlist and might receive an invite for the Verified Fan Onsale if there are tickets left.

Be prepared for backups in virtual lines if too many folks are trying to sign up for accounts at one time, and remember that registration doesn't guarantee access to presale codes.

Beyoncé Renaissance World Tour tickets go on sale: 'We're watching, Ticketmaster'

Only days before Sunday's Grammy Awards, Beyoncé announced a new world tour for her "Renaissance" album .

Instead of putting tickets for all shows on sale together, though, Beyoncé is rolling out sale dates to try to avoid ticketing system crashes that have hit other big acts, notably Taylor Swift.

Ticketmaster’s handling of Swift tickets was a disaster. This fact has been well established by fans, members of the news media, in an admission by the company  and by the artist herself.

That’s why I was surprised to hear testimony from Live Nation’s president at a recent Senate hearing in which I also testified. Live Nation, which merged with Ticketmaster in 2010, argued that its massive market share (about 80%) has allowed it to innovate and make advances that greatly benefit consumers.

A few million Taylor Swift fans would respond: This is why we can’t have nice things .

How Ticketmaster harms competitors, consumers

I understand the fans’ position.

Other industries operate in a free market where companies have to compete in a vibrant market against one another to earn and retain a customer’s business. These companies focus on innovation, choice, quality and price of goods, and more. They cannot abuse their capabilities to harm their competitors or others in their supply chain.

We have come to expect this kind of market when we go comparison shopping for all sorts of things – clothing, vehicles, furniture and, yes, live event tickets. The auto market, for example, is a robust, thriving, diverse industry largely adhering to traditional supply-and-demand forces.

When I purchased a used Volvo in 2015, the company didn’t place restrictions on what I do with my car after I paid for it. If I decide to sell it, Volvo will have no role in the transaction. This is how most industries work.

But live event ticketing is different.

Ticketmaster’s outright market dominance has allowed the company to wield control over purchased tickets – a consumer’s private property. For example, Ticketmaster puts a wide array of restrictions on the resale of their tickets, which they claim help weed out bots but in reality, it’s the fans who suffer. Ticketmaster could even ban the transfer of tickets . In other cases, it requires fans to obtain a Ticketmaster account to sell or give away tickets.

It holds back up to half of tickets that will eventually be available for a show, only to trickle them out later at higher prices. And it uses technology with consumer-friendly-sounding names such as " Verified Fan " that harm fans but help Ticketmaster continue its domination of the market.

Swift fans sat through multiple presales, traded access codes and were met with a system failure. There were promises that the hardcore Swifties would be the most likely to receive tickets through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program, which the company claims identifies software programs (bots) that circumvent online sales restrictions. But fans waited for hours in long queues while the site was crashing for others. Days later, Ticketmaster canceled the public sale of tickets to Swift’s tour.

Ticketmaster blamed bots, resale and excessive demand for the debacle while missing what fans and lawmakers alike saw very clearly: the results of a company without competition.

Ticketmaster maintains such outsized control over tickets not just because it handles more ticketing for concerts and sporting events than many of its competitors combined, but because it is part of Live Nation – the company that dominates artist management, venues management and tour promotion . With this kind of control, the company can bundle services with event organizers to include ticketing.

Some venues and promoters complain that the company doesn’t persuade – it threatens them with access to Live Nation-managed concerts if they don’t ticket with Ticketmaster .

Another part of the problem that plagues ticketing is a debate over what ownership of a ticket actually means. Some say a ticket is not owned but instead is a lease or a rental of a space in a venue. Thinking of a ticket as a rental is a way for monopolies to limit resale and stifle the free market, furthering their market power and harming consumers.

The commodity of going to a concert is the artist, not the venue. No one is paying for a seat at Madison Square Garden unless there is a performance. Ask any fan attending a Jacksonville Jaguars game or a Harry Styles concert.

I oppose additional layers of government regulation, but that is because many industries fall under a workable regulatory framework. With live events, aside from a patchwork of laws in a few states , there is very little.

At the federal level, there are monopoly regulations, a law making the use of software bots to purchase tickets illegal , and a Live Nation/Ticketmaster merger consent decree that prescribes market behaviors the company is expected to self-police.

If the Justice Department and the Federal Trade Commission don’t have the enforcement chops to fix live events, Congress should step in to protect the markets for artists, tour promoters, independent venues, competing ticketing companies and consumers. Whether that means unraveling the merger or passing legislation like the BOSS Act  clarifying its position on oversight authority, something has to be done.

As I told the Senate Judiciary Committee last month, consumer welfare is very clear to define, and there are clear harms to consumers from anticompetitive practices in live event ticketing.

If one thing is certain, as superstar Beyoncé announced her world tour last week , all eyes will be on how the process for fans unfolds. Even the Senate Judiciary Committee took note, retweeting the announcement Thursday with a no-nonsense, to-the-point promise: “ We’re watching, @Ticketmaster ”

There’s bad blood. Just ask the Swifties.

The stadium shows - in support of her 2022 Number 1 album RENAISSANCE and first since 2016's The Formation World Tour - follow Beyoncé 's recent one-off headline performance at Dubai's Atlantis The Royal resort.

The Destiny's Child superstar announced the news on Instagram, simply posting an image with the caption 'RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR 2023'.

How to get tickets for Beyoncé’s 2023 Renaissance UK tour

It’s finally happening, folks

Calling all members of the Bey Hive: the time has finally come. Beyoncé has announced that she will be touring her latest album, ‘Renaissance’, released in July last year. Much to our delight, the superstar confirmed the live dates were happening at the Wearable Art Gala in California on October 22, and now the European and North American legs of the Renaissance World Tour have been announced.

There is a huge amount of hype around Bey returning to British shores, and people are already calling for the star to add more dates to her tour to satisfy demand.  There’s been a serious scramble for tickets so far, with many fans complaining on Twitter that they were kicked out before reaching the front of the presale queue.

We expect that when the general tickets finally drop for ‘Renaissance’ in the UK they will sell out mega fast, so make sure to keep an eye out and plan ahead. H ere’s everything you need to know about Beyoncé’s 2023 UK shows.

When do Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour tickets go on sale?

An O2 presale has already taken place, as well as separate Live Nation and venue presales.

The BeyHive presale will go live on Monday February 6 from 9am to 6pm, while g eneral public sale will start at 10am on Tuesday February 7 .

How much do tickets cost?

As expected, tickets don’t come cheap. Prices for Beyoncé’s UK dates range from £56.25 for a seated ticket to £106.80 for a standing ticket, plus fees. VIP packages range from £1,960 to an eye-watering £2,400 for the VIP ‘Pure/Honey On Stage Risers: Front Row Experience’ (again, plus fees). Ouch.

What is the BeyHive presale?

The BeyHive Presale, available via Ticketmaster, allows access to an early ticket sale. It’s open on Monday February 6, between 9am and 6pm.

To be a member of the official BeyHive, you must already be signed up to Beyonce’s mailing list through her website. Unfortunately, registration has closed, so if you’re not already a member, you’ll have to wait for the general sale. 

When is Beyonce’s World Renaissance Tour?

Beyoncé has announced her initial run of Renaissance World Tour dates, including both the European and North American legs.

Who will support Beyoncé on her tour?

Now that the tour has been announced, there has been a lot of speculation around who Bey will be choosing to follow her around the world to open the show for her. 

There have been rumours that Beyoncé has been considering British girl group Flo, who will receive the Rising Star Award at the 2023 Brit Awards. Other potential openers who will join Bey on stage are the Nigerian singer Tems, as well as English singer and rapper Bree Runway.

When did Beyonce last tour in the UK?

Beyoncé’s last tour in the UK was back in 2018 with her husband Jay-Z for her show ‘On The Run II’. The couple performed a total of six acts that included a mix of both of the stars’ songs such as ‘Crazy in Love’, ‘99 Problems’ and ‘Run the World (Girls)’. 

They started the tour in Cardiff, Glasgow, Manchester and London before moving onto the rest of Europe and finishing the tour back in the USA. 

Before that, Bey toured the UK in 2016 with The Formation World Tour in support of her album ‘Lemonade’.

Fans will soon have the chance through Ticketmaster to buy tickets for Beyoncé's newly announced " Renaissance" 2023 World Tour , which stops in Chicago in July.

However, a handful of exclusive presales and a lengthy "Verified Fan" registration process has led many music lovers to share their skepticism on social media.

"Don't do the same as the eras tour this time PLEASE," one tweet in response to Ticketmaster's post read, referring to last year's Taylor Swift presale fiasco that led to the ticketing giant to cancel 'The Eras Tour' sale to the general public.

"You better not mess this up! The Beyhive does not play," said another.

According to Ticketmaster parent company Live Nation, ticketing for the North American leg of Beyoncé's tour "will begin" on Feb. 6, with a BeyHive presale.

However, the deadline to register for the chance to buy tickets -- presale or not -- is coming up.

Here's a breakdown of how it all works.

How to Get Beyoncé Tickets

"Beyoncé is using Verified Fan to help fans get tickets," the Live Nation site dedicated to Beyoncé's "Renaissance" tour says . "Verified Fan requires registration to help filter out buyers looking to resell tickets and create a less crowded ticket shopping experience for fans."

According to Live Nation, all hopeful ticket buyers must register with "Verified Fan." However, "registration does not guarantee tickets," Live Nation says, adding that demand is expected to be high.

"We expect there will be more demand than there are tickets available and a lottery-style process will determine which registered Verified Fans receive a unique access code and which are put on the waitlist."

Additionally, "Verified Fan" registration deadlines vary by city.

For those wishing to buy tickets to Beyoncé's tour stops in Atlanta, Chicago, East Rutherford, Houston, Inglewood, Las Vegas, Toronto, Ontario and Washington D.C., registration is currently open . It closes at 10:59 p.m. CST Thursday.

Registration for a variety of presales, which also require registration through "Verified Fan," are also currently underway through Feb. 2.

The deadline to register to buy tickets for shows in other cities is later in the month.

In a Wednesday morning Instagram post, the 28-time Grammy winner announced she was taking her latest album "Renaissance" on a world tour set to kick off May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden.

Following stops in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Amsterdam, Germany and Poland, Beyoncé will hit North America, beginning with a July tour date in Toronto.

The 41-year-old singer is set to come to Soldier Field in Chicago on July 22. Additionally, a new show on July 23 was recently added.

The tour also includes stops in Miami, Seattle, New York City, Los Angeles, Kansas City, Houston and New Orleans. A full list of tour dates and global cities can be found on Beyoncé's official website .

Ticket sales for Beyoncé's Renaissance tour go live on Monday, February 6.

In anticipation of the high ticket demand outweighing the number of seats available, Ticketmaster has already taken certain measures to organize the volume of purchases.

"It is expected that many interested fans may not be able to get tickets because demand drastically exceeds supply," they stated in a press release.

The website put together three different pre-sales to avoid a debacle similar to what happened when fans tried to secure tickets to Taylor Swift and John Mayer months prior.

"If tickets remain, the lottery-style process will be used to invite more Verified Fans from the waitlist to join the sale.

How can I get Beyoncé tour presale tickets?

Admission for Beyoncé's Renaissance tour has been separated into three different presales.

All three of the below-mentioned purchasing methods fall under the Verified Fan sales category and include:

• The BeyHive presale
• The Citi Presale, open to CitiBank cardholders
• Verizon Up Presale, open to Verizon account holders

In order to take part in the BeyHive presale, the public has to head over to the Break My Soul singer's official website to sign up to be a member.

To participate in any of the three presales, fans have to follow the step-by-step instructions provided by Beyoncé's LiveNation artist page .

To further specify, potential concertgoers are also divided into groups A, B, and C.

Group A is allowed to register for any of the three presales starting Friday, February 3.

Those belonging to Group A are listeners who reside in:

• New York City
• Washington DC

Concertgoers who are considered Group B are allowed to register on Thursday, February 9.

Fans are categorized as Group B when they live in proximity to:

Fatima Robinson Talks Beyoncé's Renaissance Tour, Crowns Her ‘The Michael Jackson of Our Time'

Beyoncé may be riding high off Cowboy Carter right now, but Renaissance is the gift that keeps on giving.

In a revelatory conversation with Ahmir Questlove Thompson on his Questlove Supreme podcast, renowned choreographer Fatima Robinson revealed how Beyoncé came up with stage design and concept for the Renaissance World Tour during the pandemic - and why the superstar shifted her approach to dance on her most recent trek.

"That was Beyoncé sitting in a pandemic with a lot of time on her hands and coming up with the most incredible, creative stage that I had ever gotten to work on," Robinson gushed of the Renaissance World Tour stage. The sold-out stadium tour featured two separate platforms connected by a moving ramp, a main stage complete with a sprawling flatscreen, a B stage that stretched into the crowd, and a slew of props including, a tank, pyrotechnics, a laser show, a giant clam shell, robot arms, a flying "disco horse" and various levitating platforms.

In Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé - the box office-topping documentary concert film chronicling the conception and execution of the tour - Queen Bey revealed that the tour was planned over four years, and three identical stages were developed for the show. The $580 million-grossing tour also featured 22 dancers, including her eldest daughter, Grammy winner Blue Ivy Carter .

"She has quite a few choreographers across her span of music," said Robinson. "We gave me the title ‘director of choreography' because I was the point person that all the choreographers worked under and with. It was such a big boulder to get up a hill, that show."

While Robinson has worked with Beyoncé in the past - most notably on 2006's Oscar-winning Dreamgirls and her "Be Alive" performance at the 2022 Oscars - she joined forces with several other choreographers for the Renaissance tour, including her two other team members, Chris Grant and four other choreographers who worked on numbers sporadically.

Her first solo concert tour since 2016's Formation World Tour , the Renaissance World Tour presented a notably different Beyoncé. While the three-hour show was still a feast for the eyes and ears, the performance included less intense choreography than her past tours - partially due to a knee injury she suffered before those 56 sold-out shows.

"We were having a lot of conversations around when is enough enough? " Robinson explained. "You have nothing to prove, Bey. You are our Michael Jackson of our time. We're like athletes, at a certain point, you have to just say "Okay, I'm gonna do it, but I'm gonna also take care of myself and be mindful of what my body is telling me right now."

Robinson's revelations echo sentiments Beyoncé herself shared in Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé . Throughout the documentary, Queen Bey mused about looking to her idols to inform how she moves in her career. The Renaissance tour was a celebration of that, from a surprise appearance from Diana Ross to a multi-city tribute to the late Tina Turner .

"Look at how Prince was when he passed away, he had those hip replacements because of all those splits and stuff," noted Robinson. "Look where Michael [Jackson] is. We want you around performing for years to come, so let's not put that kind of pressure. Let's ease into it, let's stand there and be powerful and step into a different kind of power, and guess what? They gon' come with you!"

That approach to performing also resulted in a very Beyoncé take on the concept of an opening act. For each show, Beyoncé began with a set of ballads , introduced by a beautiful piano-led rendition of 2003's seminal "Dangerously In Love 2."

"I turned to her and I was like, ‘This is really fly, starting with ballads,'" recounted Robinson. "She laughed and she said, "I'm opening up for myself!"

In addition to the Renaissance World Tour, Robinson also worked on 2023's The Color Purple movie musical, which topped the domestic box office on opening day and earned one Oscar nomination.

Tina Knowles borrows one of daughter Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour outfits for red carpet event

Tina Knowles seems to be taking a page out of Beyoncé’s book — or, rather, taking an outfit out of her closet.

The mother of the “Levii’s Jeans” singer recently stepped out at an event in Las Vegas, decked out a trompe l’oiel denim jumpsuit that looks identical to one Bey wore on her “Renaissance Tour” last summer.

Taking to Instagram , Knowles, 70, showed off the gray, acid-washed one-piece, giving a shoutout to “Love & Laughter,” a new show that features Cedric The Entertainer and Toni Braxton which opened on April 27.

Beyoncé’s jumpsuit — which she wore in Louisville, Kentucky — was a custom creation from Diesel that originally included a matching pair of gloves, though Knowles decided to skip that detail. The look also featured attached shoes and a zipper down the front.

Of course, the bold look was instantly recognizable to members of the Beyhive, who took to Knowles’ comments section with tons of compliments.

“Ate that bee lady up in her own outfit 🔥” one person joked while another said, “You in Beyoncés closet” and a third said, “SLAY! 🔥❤️ Waiting for The Miss Tina World Tour🔥🔥🔥.”

Actress Laverne Cox also joined in. “Let em know Miss Tina!!!” she wrote.

Of course, Knowles’ fashion-forward look should come as no surprise to Beyoncé’s most dedicated fans. The singer’s mom was responsible for designing some of Destiny’s Child’s most recognizable looks back in the day, including a number of coordinated ensembles they wore on the red carpet.

Back in January, Knowles also revealed that the Grammy-winning group, which also includes members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, sang to her in honor of her milestone 70th birthday.

“I even got serenaded by Destiny’s Child. How amazing is that?” she confessed in a video she shared on social media.

Earlier this year, Beyoncé officially launched her own haircare Cécred , which was partially inspired by her mom, who owned a popular hair salon in Houston, Texas in the ’90s.
