Wow! Just wow! This is where I like to go when I want to have some fun! (And I'll tell you now, I like to have a lot of fun 😉😉😉😉). As soon as I walk through the door, I feel my shoulders ease, my lungs expand and my heart grows. I love this place. And I love to be in this place.
Bhavin Ragha
What a wicked night! Drinks where so cheap. Music was fire. Definitely would recommend this place. If you’re lucky you will spot some professional dancers.

We couldn’t not finish off with this place, Beaver Works is like the god of nightclubs in Leeds (it’s for sure our fave).

Not to mention, there’s so many cool things to explore inside, but we’ll leave that for you to discover.
There’s tons of different events showcasing music from techno to drum and bass to disco, no two events are the same and their sound systems are banging!

Another 22 closed Leeds clubs that you enjoyed back in the day
Bar Phono, Cinderella Rockerfella, The Gallery, Scrumpies and everything in between

Last weekend LeedsLive listed 14 defunct Leeds nightclubs where you spent, or misspent, your youth.
But our list was far from definitive so we asked you which former clubs we'd missed and we had a great response.
You suggested everything from the cheap and cheerful, including the likes of Brannigans and Planet Earth, to the clubs that were part of the 90s house music boom such as the Pleasure Rooms.
There were also rock clubs (Scrumpies), goth clubs (Bar Phono), important live music venues (Tiffany's) and several clubs opened by nightclub impresario Peter Stringfellow, not to mention student meat markets such as The Observatory.
There are even a couple of golden oldies there such as The Cat's Whiskers
So here are another 22 long gone Leeds clubs that you loved... or loathed.
This club in a listed 18th century building was originally called the Star and Garter Inn.
In the 1970s and 80s you could catch big names such as Edwin Star and Pat Phoenix (Coronation Street) at this place on Bridge Road, Kirkstall.
Originally known as Le Phonographique, Bar Phono was a popular hangout for goths in the early 1980s. Its clientele included The Clash, New Model Army and Marc Almond. It closed around 2006.
Big Lil's Saloon Bar
Big Lil's, in Bramley's Yard, off The Headrow, was closed down in 2004 following a series of violent incidents and landlord Barrie Armitage was jailed in 2004 for murdering customer Darren Townend.
The venue on Vicar Lane was part of a national chain of bars that encouraged 'eating, drinking and cavorting'. It was more of the last two with cheap drinks and the occasional Abba tribute act. It's now a row of hi-fi and music shops.
This venue played hard house music until it was shut down in 2004, following complaints of antisocial behaviour. It was described by police as 'a nuisance to the local community and the centre of antisocial behaviour'.
The Cat's Whiskers
Soul music fans made the trip to this Meanwood club in the 1970s when it hosted northern soul all-nighters as well as an all-dayer on Sundays.
Cinderella's Rockafella's
Cinderella's was opened by Peter Stringfellow in 1970. He then opened Rockerfella's next door in 1972.
He later said: “Those six years in Leeds were the best years of my life.”
There isn't much information on this club other than it was on the upper floor of the Merrion Centre in the 1980s.
This nightclub was in the basement of what is now the New Ellington hotel at York Place. The name lives on as a restaurant.
This club was next door what was known as the Mexborough Arms, on Harrogate Road, Chapel Allerton. It's now the Wetherspoon-owned Three Hulats.
The Gallery
This opened in 1984 as a restaurant called Coconut Grove and a nightclub called Ricky’s. Initially it hosted big names in jazz such as Acker Bilk.
According to UK clubbing history website 88to98 it was later renamed The Gallery and became part of the burgeoning house music scene.
DJ superstars Carl Cox and Pete Tong played there in their early days. Dance music bible Mixmag declared it the second best rave club in the UK in 1992. The Hacienda in Manchester was number one.
This name comes from Anthony and Francis Jacomelli who opened a Swiss restaurant and cafe in Leeds, in 1906. Many decades later this was a 'dress-to-impress meat market' club.
Again there isn't much information on this club other than it existed around the East Parade part of the city centre in the 1980s.
Mister Craig's
Another of Peter Stringfellow's clubs in Leeds, this venue at the Grand Theatre, New Briggate, was Stringfellow's attempt to bring some London sophistication to Leeds. We're not sure whether he was very successful. It was later Uropa (see below).
The Observatory
This bar on Boar Lane was popular with students in the late 1990s and 2000s. High class it wasn't – a night at The Observatory usually meant embarrassing yourself – but it was a place where you could have some fairly debauched fun.
It was housed in a grade-II listed building which began its life as a bank.
The Old Bank Club
Previously this was the East Ward Liberal Club. The Old Bank Club, off Ellerby Road, had been a drinking spot until the 1980s. By the early 1990s it was derelict and later demolished.
Planet Earth
This cheap and cheerful 90s nightspot, with a revolving dance floor, later became Bondi Beach Club .
Pleasure Rooms
This venue in Grand Arcade hosted the legendary Back To Basics house night in the 1990s that attracted big name DJs including Danny Rampling, plus sets from Daft Punk and Goldie.
Upstairs at the Merrion Centre this was also geared towards the cheap and cheerful with fruit machines, no less.
This club, below the Corn Exchange, was the Leeds rock club of the 1980s where you could headbang to metal until you ended up with whiplash.
Another Merrion Centre venue, this live music club was an important place during the post-punk/new wave days of the early 1980s. Bands like OMD, Madness and even a fledgling U2 played there.
This club, at Grand Arcade, New Briggate, was another venue established during the clubland boom of the 1990s. It was previously Mister Craig's (see above) and later Gatecrasher (also defunct).
