COVID-19 Policies

ASM Richmond is committed to the health and safety of our patrons, guests, artists, performers, crew, and staff and we will continue to follow the latest health guidance and protocols. In light of the changing conditions with COVID-19 and the Delta variant, we are working closely with all of our promoters to ensure the health and safety of our patrons, staff, and guests. 

Currently, Altria Theater is operating at 100% capacity and is strongly encouraging all patrons, whether vaccinated or not, to mask while at the venue.  We do not have a vaccination or negative test requirement in place as a venue, although promoters of our upcoming shows are considering multiple options, including the possibility of masks, vaccines, and COVID-19 tests. 

At this time,  this show does not have  any additional requirements in place for patrons outside of the standing venue policies.  If there are any changes to the requirements prior to the show, patrons will be notified by email and the event page on the venue website will be updated.

DC Young Fly ,  Karlous Miller  and  Chico Bean  first teamed up in Steve Harvey’s studio to begin recording a podcast that showcased their improv, freestyling and roasting skills. Comedy fans were quick to discover the chemistry between the three performers, and now they are bringing their 85 South Show live to the KFC Yum! Center on Saturday, May 20, 2023 .

Over the last few years, the 85 South Show has been shaking up the podcasting scene with improvs and freestyles by some of the fastest-rising comedic talents from the South. 

Bags no larger than 14" x 14" x 6" will be allowed into the arena for events.

All bags are subject to search upon entering the arena. Backpacks of any kind, including drawstring, computer bags, and camera bags are prohibited. Please plan accordingly to help facilitate a quick and efficient entry process. Please report suspicious bags to a KFC Yum! Center team member.

Medical and parenting bags are permitted and subject to search.

Cashless Venue

The KFC Yum! Center is a cashless venue.  All major debit and credit cards are accepted at concession and merchandise locations within the facility. Contactless transactions can also be made using Apple Pay, Samsung Pay , and Google Pay. 

Mobile Tickets

When your event is Mobile only, or you selected Mobile Entry at checkout -  your mobile phone is your ticket .

We highly recommend fans with pre-download mobile to your phone's wallet prior to arriving to the KFC Yum! Center to avoid delays upon entry.

The KFC Yum! Center has a convenient multi-level garage located under the facility operated by PARC . There are also many other parking options in the surrounding area including surface lots and street parking all within walking distance to the arena.

The 85 South Show, produced by 85 South Media, unites three of America's funniest, talented, and most fearless comedians. With nearly two million subscribers on YouTube, 410 million independent views, and over 100,000+ live show tickets sold, the 85 South Show has completely changed the comedy industry. 

Most recently, 85 South Media created ‘The Black Market,’ an initiative to highlight, amplify, and showcase leaders, entrepreneurs and educators, partnered with Charlamagne Tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network and iHeartMedia, and produced two seasons of their music show 80 Vybe. 

Born in Atlanta, DC Young Fly first rose to fame with viewers and followers via his inimitable online videos. His success as a YouTube personality and his over 10 million followers on Instagram led to being cast as a lead on the MTV series Wild ‘N Out and also hosting MTV’s TRL.

His 85 South Co-Host Karlous Miller is another veteran of Nick Cannon's sketch comedy and improv showcase. A native of Oxford, Mississippi, Miller became a regular on MTV’s Wild’ N Out fifth season in 2013. Karlous Miller has touched stages all across the U.S. and Canada, he has also made appearances on such television shows as Hell Date, Comic View and The Mo'Nique Show. Karlous Miller was 1st runner up on NBC’s Last Comic Standing.

The 85 South team is completed by Washington DC’s very own Chico Bean. Another Wild ‘N Out veteran from Season 5, he is also known as one half of the “Old School Fools” rap battle on MTV’s Wild ‘N Out.  Bean started his comedy career in Greensboro, North Carolina and has since gone on to tour the country and appear on shows such as The James Davis Project, Steve Harvey Talk Show, and national fast food and athletic advertising campaigns.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the 85 South Show featuring comedians DC Young Fly, Karlous Miller, and Chico Bean, scheduled for June 11 at The Liacouras Center, has been  postponed .  The rescheduled date for this performance will be announced in the near future. All existing ticket holders will be notified of the new date via email as soon as it is announced. Please hold onto your ticket(s) for the performance as they will be valid for the rescheduled date.
