I've traveled with TSA tours on six occasions with students and they are very good at what they do. After traveling with 2 other companies, I will only travel with TSA.

For customized tours than run smooth as silk...you're looking at the right company. I've used five other tour companies over the past 30 years (yes, I'm old), and none have compared to the excellence in customer service, the selection of hotels and travel modes, and the trust placed in the consumer when making decisions. This is a small company. If you need something, you call the employees at TSA and you will not get a voicemail. You will actually TALK to the person you wish to talk to, when you want to talk to him/her. On the last trip, we had a participant leave a wallet on the airplane. The person had two insurance policies that were not of assistance when he called them. TSA sent an employee in the middle of the night to the office in Tempe; this employee proceeded to contact the airlines and arrange for the wallet to be held until our group came back through the country. When we landed in Iceland, there was an airline agent at our gate, with wallet in hand! This is just one example..want more? Okay...one year (we go frequently) we were in Venice and were to have vaporeto passes provided. We couldn't find out where to pick them up; I called TSA and found out there was a mistake (this is highly, highly unusual). So, to compensate my group, TSA pre-arranged a traditional dinner in Salzburg for the entire group, at a much great expense. My husband and I design our tours and we request minute details to our program and TSA employees always include each detail. I can't say enough; we only worked with one other company that treated our groups with such expert guidance and product, but they are not operating any longer. The owners of TSA are 100% honest, reliable, and willing to make your group travel worry free. I would like to refute the negative rating the Elizabeth P. left on this site. While I'm sorry you were not able to get your $400.00 deposit returned because that's a lot of money for sure, the literature (fine print) clearly states that the deposit is non-refundable. I take large groups; the last had 45 people, and there is a professional way to protect yourself. I collect the deposits from my travelers and hold it until a date when I'm sure of the minimum travelers still planning on participating. Then, I make it crystal clear that on a specific date, I will mail in their deposit. At this time, they know that the $400.00 is out of my hands and will not be returned under any circumstances, and to be honest, rightly so. Even if they had not made reservations yet for you, their office staff and the brick and mortar is costing money. They created the plan, the organization, the brochures, and the employee HOURS were used as they communicated with you. The computer systems, the registration, etc., etc., etc. of small businesses are so expensive. If we lose money because we back out, the deposit barely covers the cost to TSA. I suggest in the future, if you're taking groups, you explain to your participants that they can purchase a "cancel for any reason" policy on Squaremouth.com. These are affordable policies that pay 75% of your funds back to you if you decide to not participate. We have had to file a claim in the past and the participant received a refund within two weeks. Again, I feel for anyone who loses money and doesn't get a trip they had planned, but TSA has very little fine print and they are extremely flexible in all arenas, except the deposit that is cut and dry. For solvency, they have to draw a tight line on the deposit. Anyway, if you are looking for very customized, right down to the time you want your flight to leave and which airline you desire, and if you want what I consider perfect customer service, choose TSA Tours.

Even though the trip I booked is 4+ months away, TSA won't refund my $400 deposit. If registration and travel plans had been booked on my behalf, I may understand. However that is not the case. What a rip-off! Poor company policy TSA!

Good afternoon, Elizabeth! We just came across your review only by accident by our normal Google search and we see that you posted this negative review. For the rest of the world's understanding, we immediately contacted you last year about our terms of service via your Facebook review. (Easily accessible on our Facebook page) Our first response was this: "Good afternoon, Liz! We never received a cancellation letter from you, nor any kind of communication from you. We only received a request from your tour leader to cancel. Our application specifically states that a $400 non-refundable deposit is required to enroll on any of our tours. Troy notified your tour leader that we would be happy to apply your deposit to a future tour with us but never heard anything back. Feel free to contact us directly at 800-444-8885 and ask for Troy Butters. We are here if you would like to discuss this any further! We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with us and we are happy to explain any of our policies or other questions you might have." Our other response was this: "Troy spoke to Ms. Neale about the possibility of applying the deposit forward. Did you enroll in this tour yourself or did someone enroll for you? The policy is clearly on the application form. Like I mentioned, feel free to talk to Troy at 800-444-8885. Reserving vendors and airline tickets a year ahead of time requires deposits from our company on behalf of our travelers for the convenience of having fares not increase that far in advance or get sold out. This is industry standard. Troy would be happy to talk to you at your convenience. Thank you for your reply! (This is Jackie, by the way!)" You never called us back but only said that you were having a "busy day" and would call us back. We never heard back. Unfair to go on Yelp and slander us as a company. From start to finish, our experience with TSA Tours was easy and wonderful. Jim listened to our wants and took our price point into consideration and a few day later returned with a customized, private tour to Italy for my students with stops in Venice, Florence and Rome. He and his staff arranged tour guides who traveled with us from the airport and to and from bus locations. We enjoyed private, air conditioned motor coaches between cities and pre-paid vouchers for public transit. He and his staff have personal relationships with boutique hotels and local restaurants and crafted an experience for us we will never forget! The company even sent Euros with a tipping schedule that took any guesswork and stress out of the equation. I can't say enough about TSA Tours. They made taking a group of 20 students and community members a fantastic experience. I'll definitely be using them in the future!

Three Florida legislators hosted a news conference Friday to denounce a Cuban delegation's visit to Miami International Airport earlier this week.

The conference comes after the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) apologized on Thursday, saying the visit was not communicated ahead of time with airport and county officials.

Republican Senator Rick Scott along with representatives Mario Díaz-Balart (FL-26) and Carlos A. Giménez (FL-28) slammed President Joe Biden's administration on Friday.

Scott accused Biden of wanting to work with those who want to "destroy our way of life." Díaz-Balart said the U.S. "is a much more dangerous place than it was under the administration of President Trump." All three called Cuba a "state-sponsor of terrorism."

‘Incredibly reckless': Cuban delegation visit to Miami airport security areas sparks outrage

TSA said in a statement that it met with Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and other county and MIA officials to discuss the visit where five members of the Cuban government spent five hours at the airport on Monday and were shown two areas, including a security checkpoint and a baggage screening area.

"(We) expressed our shock, and really disappointed that we had not been notified, and this was extremely offensive, especially on the independence day for Cuba, and that our community was really in an uproar about this," Levine Cava said Thursday.

Today, I met with @dhsgov , @tsa and @statedept to share our community’s deep frustration about the visit of Cuban officials to MIA. "It will be a new protocol going forward because we cannot be surprised like that and we cannot be blindsided," Levine Cava said. "We need to know who's coming to our airport, and we need to have a say."

Cuban delegations have visited US airports several times before, as recent as 2018, during the Trump administration. 

TSA said Cuban delegations have visited American airports a total of six times “with the purpose of exchanging technical information on aviation security."

"It makes no sense," Emilio Gonzalez, the former director of MIA, said Thursday. He joins a chorus of local leaders, both Republican and Democrat, condemning Monday's visit.

"Seeing how many people work there, seeing who is who, seeing the type of equipment that they use — the fact of being inside a TSA secure facility, that's a vulnerability in and of itself," Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez was the director of the airport during the 2015 visit and said he had no idea. Although TSA is a federal agency, as director of the airport, Gonzalez said he was often made aware of delegate visits from other countries.

"Unconscionable. And it tells you a lot when they don't tell anybody," he said. "What is highly unusual, questionable, and unfathomable is that you would bring somebody from a country that's a sponsor of state terrorism. I mean you either are or you're not."
