Troisième groupe mondial de transport maritime et premier français, le Groupe CMA CGM propose une expérience unique permettant de voyager autrement en traversant mers, océans et continents : les voyages en cargo .

Grâce à ce moyen de transport original, les passagers peuvent s’imprégner de la vie à bord et découvrir le monde de la marine marchande. 874 adeptes du « voyager autrement » ont fait le choix d’embarquer à bord d’un porte-conteneurs en 2013. Rien que cet été, plusieurs centaines de passagers ont eu l’opportunité de vivre ces vacances atypiques

Voyagez à bord d’un des plus grands porte-conteneurs au monde

Dernière nouveauté dans les voyages en cargo, le Groupe CMA CGM propose désormais à ses passagers d’embarquer à bord des fleurons de sa flotte, ses nouveaux porte-conteneurs de 16 020 EVP, tels que le CMA CGM MARCO POLO ou encore le CMA CGM ALEXANDER VAN HUMBOLT. Ces géants des mers aux dimensions impressionnantes (plus de 396m de long, soit plus de 4 terrains de football !), sont parmi les plus grands porte-conteneurs au monde.

Les porte-conteneurs du Groupe sont équipés de cinq cabines passagers, avec salles de bains et toilettes privées. Chaque cabine dispose également d’un espace salon. Pour se détendre, à chacun son loisir : salle audiovisuelle pour les cinéphiles, espace bibliothèque pour les littéraires, ou, pour les plus énergiques, salle de sport équipée. En période estivale, la piscine extérieure mettra tout le monde d’accord ! Les repas, sont préparés par le Chef de Cuisine et son Maître d’Hôtel, et se prennent avec l’équipage. Les passagers partagent la table du Commandant et de son équipe, faisant des repas un moment privilégié d’échange et de partage.

Outre la liaison Asie-Europe sur lesquelles sont déployés ses porte-conteneurs de 16 020 EVP, le Groupe CMA CGM propose également des voyages sur ses autres lignes maritimes qui sillonnent les mers du monde, sur autant de porte-conteneurs différents.

Quelle que soit la destination et la durée de l’embarquement, la formule « voyage en cargo » est une expérience mémorable et authentique, une véritable parenthèse dans le temps.

En fonction de votre destination (transatlantique, transpacifique, mers du Sud, monde entier et autres combinaisons spéciales), vos frais de voyage quotidiens en cargo seront d'environ $100-$150 par jour, par personne et par jour, avec une franchise de bagages d'environ 30kg-100kg (66-220lbs) selon la ligne que vous empruntez pour votre réservation de voyage en cargo. Sir Richard Branson married the couples onboard as the cruise line announced wedding packages coming in April 2025

The marriage ceremonies were part of Virgin Voyages' celebration sailings, marking the brand's 50 plus year history.

Three couples said 'I do' onboard with Sir Richard Branson there to officiate.

Brits Ben and Emma exchanged their vows onboard Valiant Lady in The Perch, Virgin Voyages crew members Alejandra and Matias (who met onboard) made it official onboard after their engagement onboard Resilient Lady. Lastly, Danny and Brittany had their ceremony onboard in Ibiza.

The week-long celebrations also included events headlined by Boy George, poolside DJ sets and stargazing with Virgin Atlantic Galactic astronauts.
