More Paramore

The anticipation has been high for Paramore ’s long-awaited Australian tour, and now, we finally have the tour dates.

The rumours began at the beginning of the month when a fan on Twitter met vocalist Hayley Williams and Brian O'Connor , the co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer of her hair dye company, Good Dye Young and asked if the band would be heading to Australia anytime soon, with Williams reportedly responding, “yes in November”. That was correct.

Two weeks later, the band began sending DMs to their biggest fans in Australia and New Zealand, asking, “What’s your address?” One of the fans who received said DM took to TikTok to share what she received after sending Paramore her address, which was a November Australia and New Zealand tour t-shirt and matching stickers. You can watch that TikTok here .

Last week, Paramore started officially teasing their first Australian tour since February 2018 . The US pop-punk legends posted a photo to their social media platforms with black text on a white background, stating, "6.27 – g’day." They also included a link to a mailing list:  paramoredownunder.com .

This November, the legends at Frontier Touring are bringing Paramore back to Australia for a run on the East Coast and a date in Auckland, New Zealand.

Paramore – Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Zac Farro , joined by special guest, Californian blues singer Remi Wolf , will head to Auckland’s Spark Arena on Saturday, 18 November, Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, 22 November, and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Monday 27 November.

They will also visit Sydney’s iconic Domain on Saturday, 25 November, performing to a GA audience for an extra special night of music under the stars and their biggest Australian headline show to date.

Paramore will donate a portion of all ticket sales to leading food rescue organisations   OzHarvest (Australia) and KiwiHarvest (New Zealand) to help reduce food waste and create lasting positive social change.

Paramore are touring in support of their excellent sixth album, This Is Why , which debuted atop the ARIA Albums Chart and Vinyl Albums Chart in its first week.

After teasing fans about the prospect last week, Paramore have confirmed they’re heading to Australia on tour.

“G’day,” the beloved post-punk band posted on social media, alongside the date 6.27. A link was included which led to a special website, Paramore Down Under , which asked “why we gotta be in a rush?” On the website, fans are able to sign up with their email address to receive updates about the potential Aussie tour.

Paramore have announced five Australian dates and a stopover in New Zealand. They’ll perform in Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in November, supported by special guest Remi Wolf (see full dates below).

It will be the band’s first time in Australia since 2018. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, July 6th at staggered times (Auckland at 10am AEST/Brisbane at 11am AEST/Sydney at 12pm AEST/Melbourne at 1pm AEST).

The Frontier Members pre-sale begins on Monday, July 3rd, again at staggered times (Auckland at 10am AEST/Brisbane at 11am AEST/Sydney at 12pm AEST/Melbourne at 1pm AEST).

It’s been a busy year of touring so far for Paramore in 2023, taking in dates in South America and North America, while they joined Taylor Swift on The Eras Tour . Hayley Williams also memorably linked up with Foo Fighters at Bonnaroo earlier this month, performing a surprise rendition of “My Hero”.

Paramore are touring in support of their latest album, This Is Why , which they opened up a pair of pop-up stores in Sydney and Melbourne for in February.

This Is Why , their first album since 2017’s After Laughter , reached the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart. The band’s sixth studio album was also a top five hit in the US and UK.

Paramore’s fifth album was recorded at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A – also their first time recording in their beloved hometown. Produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen (M83, Jimmy Eat World, Beck) and Paramore’s own Taylor York, After Laughter signalled the return of founding member Zac Farro to the band. It debuted at #3 on the ARIA Charts , featuring the hugely successful singles ‘Hard Times’ – which has had over 50 million views on its colourfully playful video which Billboard declared “addictive” – and ‘Told You So’ which saw over 7 million views in its first two weeks alone. Long regarded as an exhilarating live act with a non-stop show led by the fearless Hayley Williams , with Taylor York on guitar and Zac Farro back on drums, Paramore are a bona fide juggernaut, selling over 6 million albums and leaving a trail of sold out headline arena tours in their wake. They have sold out iconic venues around the world including Madison Square Garden and Wembley Arena, and performed show-stealing headline festival sets at the likes of Reading and Leeds Festivals, Riot Fest and their own four-day festival cruise PARAHOY!. With Tour Four hitting some of Australia’s most well-loved arenas, these will be Paramore’s first headline shows Down Under since their last tour in February 2014.

Paramore Hitting the Road on Tour for First Time Since 2018

By Jon Blistein

Jon Blistein

Paramore will return to the road on a new tour for the first time in four years this fall.

The trek, which kicks off Oct. 2 at the Mechanics Bank Theater in Bakersfield, California, includes some previously announced festival slots, including Austin City Limits and When We Were Young , the three-day emo/pop-punk blowout in Vegas at the end of October. The band will play a few more shows in November, wrapping Nov. 19 at the Corona Capital Festival in Mexico City.

Tickets for the non-festival dates will go on sale July 22 at 10 a.m. local time via Paramore’s website . A presale (via Ticketmaster) will take place July 20 at 10 a.m. local time through July 21 at 10 p.m. local time; registration for that is open now.

Back in January, Paramore told Rolling Stone they were working on a new album, which will follow 2017’s After Laughter (a title and release date still haven’t been announced). “We wrote and tracked something we loved and it actually surprised us,” Williams said in an email about the band’s first day back in the studio. “We kept joking it was all downhill from that point, but thank God we’ve been surprised a lot throughout this whole thing. I’m always waiting for the moment for us to know we’re onto something new and we’re not just rehashing the same shit. It was ‘Ain’t It Fun’ for our self-titled record and ‘Hard Times’ or ‘Told You So’ for After Laughter. It’s not about it feeling like a hit so much as it’s a scary, exciting feeling that you’re treading uncharted waters. It keeps you curious. We got to feel that feeling early on this time.”

In other Paramore news, frontwoman Hayley Williams recently joined the Foo Fighters on stage at Bonnaroo to perform ‘My Hero’ .

The band most recently released their sixth album ‘This Is Why’ in February. The record scored a five-star review  from  NME ‘s Sophie Williams, who wrote: “With some of their most fearless songwriting to date,‘This Is Why’ is a bold reminder of how limitless Paramore can be. For every hard rock riff that soars to an explosive finale, there’s an adventurous vocal detour or lightly psychedelic moment.

“It’s remarkable that we’ve reached this point at all: this is a band that has been through the wringer, overcoming infighting and myriad lineup changes while simultaneously evolving into one of the most widely-respected acts of their generation.”

Paramore To Play A Run Of Intimate Shows This Fall

Pop-punk heads, we’ve won.

Paramore is officially back. After teasing fans throughout 2022 about its long-awaited comeback, the beloved veteran pop-punk band has announced that it’ll be hitting the road to play a series of intimate concerts this fall throughout the U.S. and Canada.

The special tour will kick off in October in Bakersfield, CA, and will take the band to intimate theater venues throughout the midwest, Canada, and the South, with festival appearances scheduled throughout. The tour route largely sticks to a midwest itinerary, hitting mid-sized theaters in places like Omaha, NE, Bonner Springs, KS, and Cincinnati, OH. It originally didn’t include plans to stop at big cities like New York City or Los Angeles, however the band later added two shows at L.A.’s The Wiltern and The Belasco, taking place on Oct. 20 and Oct. 27, respectively, and a show at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Nov. 13.

The jaunt will mark the band’s first live shows together since 2018 when Paramore concluded its After Laughter tour. The band has since been on a break of sorts, though they began teasing a comeback in 2021. “Paramore can’t be ‘on a break’ forever now can we?” Hayley Williams wrote in a newsletter to her fans back then. Months later, the band officially confirmed that they were working on their sixth studio album, and that the sound of the project wasn’t exactly a “comeback ‘emo’ record” but still very guitar-forward.

No details have been released about the album or music yet, but it’s likely the band will debut new music during their upcoming shows. Below, see everything you need to know about attending the band’s Fall 2022 tour, including the full tour schedule and how to score tickets.

Paramore is an American rock band formed in Franklin, Tennessee in 2004. With a pop punk and alternative rock sound, the band has released four albums as of April 2013.

Home-schooled teenage vocalist Hayley Williams was signed to Atlantic Records in 2003 as a pop singer, but she despised the cliché and insisted instead on venturing into the alternative rock genre. With friends Josh and Zac Farro, Jeremy Davis, and Jason Bynem, Williams convinced John Janick of smaller record label Fueled by Ramen to sign them as a band. Paramore’s first album “All I Know is Falling” came out on 26 July 2005. The single “Pressure” was Paramore’s debut single, which gained some airplay on the radio waves. However, the band’s name earned major exposure through concert performances, especially at the Warped Tour 2006, winning “Best New Band.”

Paramore’s second album “RIOT!” came out in January 2007, with single “Misery Business” airing in June 2007. The group made their cinematic debut with singles “Decode” and “I Caught Myself” appearing on the movie “Twilight”’s soundtrack. By this time, Paramore had become a major name in alt rock music, with Williams’ fiery red locks as their signature. John Mayer complimented the singer’s voice and named her the “great orange hope.”

The band’s most successful album “Brand New Eyes” was released in 2009 and eventually became certified gold. The single “Ignorance” peaked at #1 on the UK Rock Chart and song “The Only Exception” received significant airplay in the U.S. Paramore began touring alongside major artists like Green Day, No Doubt, and Jimmy Eat World.

Due to a difference in opinion about management, brothers Josh and Zac Farro left the band in 2010. Jeremy Davis stayed on as guitarist and Taylor York as guitarist and percussionist.

Self-titled album “Paramore” came out on 4 April 2013. The single “Ain’t It Fun” was released in February 2014 and is the band’s most successful song played on the radio in the U.S. The band has cited New Found Glory, Jimmy Eat World, U2, and Blink- 182 as influences. Although she doesn’t agree, Hayley Williams has been compared to singers like Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson for her stunning vocal ability and girl power as goddess of rock.

Live reviews

Thanks for the Memories BECAUSE THEY WERE SO GREAT | Monumentour 2014:

On August the 2nd, 2014, with a full bladder and a happy heart I arrived at the Austin360 amphitheater to live out a dream – See Fall Out Boy perform live.

After a brief visit to a way-too-hot Port O Potty and a little loss of dignity, that dream was well on its way to becoming true.

I’m sad to say that I missed the opening band (New Politics). I’m going to go ahead and put the blame for that one on my mom. She’s perpetually late to everything. And yes, that’s right ladies and gents, I do indeed go to concerts with my mom. She can hang 10x better than most people I know and we have virtually the same taste in music. Anyways, after finding our seats (because this was a seated venue which, *annoyed sigh*, we’ll get into another time) it was time for the second band to take the stage. And let me tell you, they made themselves known by firing confetti guns that nearly gave me a heart attack. FOUR TIMES. FOUR MINI HEART ATTACKS. I suppose I should probably tell you that the confetti firing band was Paramore. Maybe you’ve heard of them? Oh, who am I kidding? Everyone knows Paramore, and for good reason.

They’re music is totally energetic and now I can vouch that their performances are too. From the synchronized head banging during Misery Business to the cheesy “we’re all a family” speech, there wasn’t one boring moment during their set. They played both older and newer songs, keeping up the energy and excitement the whole time. Hayley and the boys are so cute when they interact. I have this fantasy that they eat pizza rolls and watch The Simpsons together when they’re not touring. Also, my crush on bassist, Jeremy Davis, only increased when I saw his dance moves. AND THE TATTOOS. MY GOODNESS.

Next up was a music video interlude which I am totally all for. Then, we all went home. JUST KIDDING. After the music videos, the stage lights were dimmed, a creepy voice started talking about fears, and from the center of the platform, four glorious human beings arose. Fall Out Boy started their performance by playing The Phoenix and from there played incredible song after incredible song (because that’s the only kind of song they write). They even did a Queen cover at one point and that is always okay in my book.

I have a lot of feelings about this band. I’ve been a fan since the days of guyliner (ehem, Pete) and novels-for-song titles. On one hand, they make me feel totally hardcore because of their bangin music but on the other hand, I feel like a gigantic puddle of fangirl because they’re all really adorable. I mean, at a certain angle, Joe looks like Patrick Dempsey circa Can’t Buy Me Love, and then you’ve got the precious teddy bear on drums. Andy wore a stoic, almost grumpy, face of concentration for most of the show only to smile and melt my heart at the end.

Next you have the ball of cheese that is Pete. He did most of the talking throughout the performance and the lil’ cutie spewed cliché after cliché about following your dreams and “choosing your own fucking happiness” and it was glorious.

Do I even need to explain Patrick’s preciousness? I swear, he and Johnny Depp are the only two people in the world who can work a fedora. I just want to hug him and cuddle him and kiss him gently on the forehead AND THEN HE HAD TO GO AND DO A THING LIKE BREAK OUT HIS DRUM SKILLS. Hot damn. He and Andy did an incredible drum sesh/ mash up thing with Jay Z’s 99 Problems. Super cool.

Overall, Fall Out Boy performed so well. I’m just sad I haven’t seen them perform live sooner. They seem like amazing people and they deserve every single fan that filled up the crowd.

I've been listening to Paramore since I was just a little girl in the 4th grade and I'm going into the 11th grade this year! So Paramore has a special place in my heart and I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried that they were going to disappoint me at the concert. They didn't though, not even one bit! My experience with bigger bands is that the fame has gotten to their heads and made them less wanting to be there and more wanting to get the show over with. Paramore (or Fall Out Boy, whom they played with, for that matter) didn't do that at all.

Paramore, no doubt, had a rough time when they lost most of their founding members. Even Hayley Williams admitted that she didn't know if they would last as a band but here they are, 10 years after Paramore was created making great music!

Hayley Williams was so interactive with the crowd that it felt like a small show rather then a big one. There was even a few moments when I got teary-eyed especially when she dedicated The Only Exception to all the people in the crowd who'd never been to a Paramore show. Her energy was positively contagious as she smiled happily and bounced around the stage.

When we reached the part of the show where she brings one special guy or gal on the stage to sing the bridge to Misery Business, I found myself laughing the whole time. A very lucky blue hair lad got the crowd pumped with his great performance.

There were so many great songs that were performed that I couldn't even tell you which one was my favorite. The set list included fan favorites such as Still Into You, Ain't It Fun, Misery Business, Brick By Boring Brick (my personal favorite), Last Hope, and many more!

I hope that everyone who's ever fallen in love with this band gets to go, I know I never thought I would. I will never forget this experience.

Paramore at Darien Lake; needless to say "WHOA!" The concert started at 7pm, but the band didn't come hopping in until maybe 20 minutes after the openers set. Although it was still day outside (and all the way back in the lawn seats), nothing could deter the eyes of when the vibrant blue hair of Hayley Williams came out on the stage.

One of the many great things about Paramore is, they just don't bring the energy; they bring their love for the fans out. Hayley talked about the first time they came to Buffalo as a sister band. I think she said 2005 was when they started; she cracked jokes about how the band was still too young so their parents had to drive them there. She asked who was here to see them play their first time in Buffalo, and then she asked for the fans to raise their hands if this was their first time seeing them. During Misery Business, she brought up a few friends (aka fans, but friends to Paramore; which I thought was just so awesome of them to do) whom where there for Paramore's first concert in our city.

Not too many bands appreciate their fans, and make strives to make their fans feel like they belong. If anyone feels alone, like music is letting you down. I recommend Paramore to bring back your faith in music. They care. They love you. They welcome everyone. They want you to participate in their energy they bring to the concert, as much as you want them to. Paramore and their fans are a huge family. Hayley, Jeremy, and Taylor would gladly have their arms open at anytime to bring you in for a big pop/punk/rock hug.

If there's a concert with them in your area, I'd say "Get those tickets quick, this is an atmosphere you don't want to miss!"

I went to a Paramore and Fallout Boy concert on July 8th, 2014. I had a truly wonderful time. and maybe just because I really do love Paramore, but it was pretty obvious that everybody around me was having a fantastic time as well. I have never seen such a small venue (the DTE Music Center in Clarkston, Michigan) be so packed with people Who are so happy to see these performers perform. Paramore was full of energy and they really brought their all to this performance.

Miss Hayley Williams (the lead singer of Paramore) was very Interactive with the audience and she talked to us in between almost every song. She encouraged us to sing along and almost everyone did. What I thought was most special about this Paramore show was how she asked a fan to come up on stage and sing "Misery Business" with her. She was so encouraging and it looked like that girl had a lot of fun and I can't blame her. Miss Hayley Williams danced with the guitarist and it looked like she was having a lot of fun too.

This performance was part of the monument tour which is being persued by Fall Out Boy and Paramore. This tour marks 10 years of Paramore being a band, and I think that's pretty great. The music was great and the energy was awesome. Hayley Williams really is an amazing vocalist and her two guitarists are very talented as well. She also credited the people who are not officially in Paramore but were definitely helping with all of music on stage and the techies off stage. bottom line this was a phenomenal concert and even if you dont like Paramore music I would still encourage you to go.

Now having seen Paramore six times, I may be a little biased, but they do put on one of the best shows I’ve seen. And their time on the Monumentour was no different. Not only is their music great to jump around and head bang to, but it also has beautiful lyrics and messages. There is just something special about this band.

For those of you who know about Paramore, you know the band has been through a lot in the past few years. But (thankfully) that has not stopped them. I believe it has actually made them stronger. Their latest self-titled album, I believe, has been their best yet. It still has the same Paramore sound but at the same time you can hear their growth.

It can also be seen in their shows. Hayley Williams is amazing. She is even better live than on their records. She is also a bundle of energy, running and jumping around the stage. Plus Taylor York and Jeremy Davis kill it on guitar and bass. They all just seem to fit together so perfectly. They really love what they do. Not to mention, the lights, confetti cannons and huge balloons were pretty cool too!

However, what made this show was the message. When Hayley speaks in between songs, you want to listen. Her message is always positive and uplifting. It's not like she is some celebrity talking on stage. It's like you’re just hanging out with one of your friends.

To sum it up, if you want to go to a great concert with dancing and rockin’ out and leave feeling on cloud nine, go see a Paramore show.

Paramore and Fall out boy. One of the best nights of my life! We were able to have the great opportunity of meeting Paramore given to us by their crew. The concert was so interactive and I found myself dancing along and belting my heart out with Hayley.

My favorite part was when they took a girl on stage and let her sing Misery Business with them. She was actually really good!! Then at the end of the show the drummer threw his drum sticks and the guitarist threw his pick. I caught the drum stick! All in all there were many souvenirs I could take home and fawn over for the rest of my life.

The band has had some really rough times and a crazy amount of drama but they were able to learn from that and make some of their best and most popular songs yet. They are getting a lot of recognition now and they definitely deserve it. I would say their music was originally punk rock but now it is forming to be more of a pop punk.

Even if you have never heard of them I encourage you to buy tickets to their show. Look at some of their songs on iTunes, bring a friend and I guarantee you will have a surprising but enjoyable time. Something that one member of the opening act (New Politics) said really interested me. He said all you need is good music and good company in life to have a good time. So come on down to the Monument tour and you won't regret it.

This is the third time I've seen this wonderful band but the first time I've actually paid to see them exclusively. The other two were at festivals.

What you see with Hayley Williams and her merry crew is what you get. A powerful, energetic, sometimes outrageous performance. The music they wrote in their first three albums contributes heavily to this. They made lively punk-pop music and their shows reflect that.

But something changed this time around. Paramore's most recent piece of work, After Laughter, completely changes direction from what they're historically used to providing. While it's a solid album in its own right, it doesn't blend well with the old stuff.

So the group has made a similar switch in their live shows. Two songs from RIOT!, one from Brand New Eyes, nothing from All We Know Is Falling in the setlist. After Laughter was played almost in its entirety, turning this more into a pop concert than a punk one.

Don't get me wrong, Hayley and crew still provide a great night of entertainment and their audiences are equally as explosive. It's just now expectations need to be managed accordingly. For some, this is the end of the line. For me? I'm not sure. But if you come looking for one of the best rock acts on the planet, you may leave feeling a little disappointed.

Talk about the best night of my life, Paramore was the greatest concert I could have ever imagined! Not only was she AMAZING live to listen to but she was so energetic and fun to watch on stage that it made me even more excited to be in the crowd. She talked to everyone in between songs but was hysterical so I didn't mind at all, and really made reference to Detroit so she made it personal.

But the funniest thing she did was play Misery Business-I almost cried because she performed it so perfectly-but right before the big head banger of the song she stopped! And said "gotcha!" It was funny because everyone was throwing their heads back and forth to the beat even though the music stopped haha.

But she then continued to pick a random girl from the audience and announced that it was this girls show for the next three minutes, and let her sing the rest of the song with her on stage! I could not believe it, she made a fans dream come true by bringing her on stage to sing her most classic song. What I would have given to be that girl!

In the future I plan to go to any Paramore concert that comes to town because I could never get tired of seeing her live!

The first time I saw Paramore live was in 2009. Since then, I have seen them seven more times, and every time it is better than the last.

Hands down, they put on the best show I have ever seen. Not only do they sound better than they do on their albums, the energy is through the roof. You can tell that they really put effort into making sure every single person in the audience is having the time of their lives.

Whether I'm in the front row, or up on the balcony I still feel engaged. I was used to them playing theaters like the Wiltern or Palladium but I loved seeing them just as much at The Honda Center. My favorite time seeing them was at the Wiltern though because I got to meet them before the show, plus during my favorite song ("Ain't It Fun") Hayley pointed at me for a second! That's just one of the many ways she, Taylor and Jeremy interact with the crowd. You can tell that the three of them are best friends getting to do what they love. Not to mention they're some of the nicest human beings I've ever met.

I never let the opportunity to see them when they are in town pass me by and neither should you.

Absolutely amazing. I was standing and I was very close to the front. The whole stage presence of the band was incredible and Hayley Williams especially connected so well with the audience. I was looking foward to this show since September, and God was it worth the wait. I’ve seen a lot of bands in my life, but they are right up there with the likes of Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi and Guns n Roses. If all the concerts I’ve been to, this just might be my favourite yet.

And when Hayley chose someone from the crowd to come up on stage and sing Misery Buisness I was jumping as high as I could shouting “ Pick me, pick me!”. Although I was not picked, it didn’t matter, it was still in my eyes, the best band I’ve seen yet. Unfortunately I’m only 15 but if I could drive, I would’ve booked tickets for another show that same night.

Being able to jump and sing to songs like Still into You, Misery Buisness, Ignorance and That’s what you Get was an experience I could not have imagined to be any better. Thank you for an amazing show Paramore. I’ll see you next time

5 Reasons You Need to See Paramore’s 2022 Comeback Tour

The post 5 Reasons You Need to See Paramore’s 2022 Comeback Tour appeared first on Consequence .

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Paramore  are back, and along with the announcement of their first album since 2017’s After Laughter  comes the pop-punk stalwarts’ first tour in four years. You wouldn’t be able to guess how much time they took off, though, from the looks of their set during the final day of Austin City Limits 2022 on Sunday, October 16th. Hayley Williams’ hair has been rightfully restored to its iconic orange hue, and she still sounds as good as ever .

Consequence  was on the grounds at Weekend 2 of ACL for Paramore’s set, and we can confirm that there’s plenty of reasons to catch the band live on their 2022 tour . But if you still need some convincing, we’ve listed just five for you below. Scroll to the end to see a setlist, and grab tickets to Paramore’s 2022 tour dates via Ticketmaster .

They’re Still a Riot

Sure, Williams was only 16 when Paramore’s debut album All We Know Is Falling was released, so it’s not like her time is running out anytime soon. But still, she’s spent over half her life in the band, and is the only member to have performed on — and toured in support of — all five of albums they’ve put out so far. That’s tiring.

But even after four years on the bench, Paramore returned with their energy in high gear. You can tell the band’s motives behind touring aren’t for a schticky comeback story or a cheap money grab — it’s because they genuinely want to be doing it.

They Play (Some) of the Old Stuff

Though their sixth album This Is Why   is just a few months away, Paramore know that many of their fans have been around since the days of 2007’s  RIOT!,  which soundtracked a generation of Hot Topic-clad teens who were likely hearing a leading woman in pop-punk for the first time. While their ACL set obviously included the new album’s great title track , they also made sure to work in a few oldies.

From 2008’s  Twilight  soundtrack number “I Caught Myself” to the recently-revived “Misery Business,” Paramore’s setlist spans almost their entire career, welcoming their youngest crop of fans and honoring those who’ve grown up alongside them. In a particularly special take on “Misery Business,” the band brought out PinkPantheress for an epic duet:

Hayley Williams Commands a Crowd Like No Other

Hayley Williams just might go down as one of the most captivating live performers of the century so far. A Paramore record is enough proof of her staggering vocal talent, but hearing her sing live brings the amazement to a whole other level.

But Williams isn’t focused on herself as much as she’s focused on the thousands and thousands in front of her. Paramore’s ACL crowd seemingly to spanned half of Zilker Park’s square footage, but each person there had their eyes locked on the frontwoman, exuding charm and ferocity. It’s no wonder she’s become a role model for likeminded girls and young women.

Paramore, photo by Roger Ho for ACL Fest 2022

The Crowd Reciprocates

A Paramore show feels like a gigantic karaoke session. The band have spent the better part of the past 15 years building their devoted audience, and their loyalty is especially powerful in a live context — so much so that it trickles all the way to the back of the crowd, singing along to belt-worthy hits like “Ain’t It Fun” as if they were front and center.

Their Glory Days Are Far from Over

Paramore have shuffled members around like a revolving door since their formation, and Williams knows this better than anyone. After expressing her excitement about “technically opening for the Red Hot Chili Peppers,” who took the same stage the following time slot, she subtly poked fun at how Paramore’s own tumultuous turnover somewhat mirrors that of Anthony Kiedis’ crew. To a pessimist, this might sound like Paramore is writing their own doomed legacy in real time.

The good news, though, is that Williams also predicts that some iteration of Paramore will still be cranking out new albums and  like the Peppers. From the way things look now, that future seems very likely.

paramore tour 2022 australia

When Paramore revealed they were recording together in January 2022 the response from music fans around the world was immediate and celebratory. In the time since the Grammy-winning, RIAA-certified multi-Platinum band released their last album,  After Laughter   – and Hayley Williams unveiled two lauded solo albums – Paramore have become more popular than ever.  Over the last few years Paramore’s influence and popularity has snowballed, as the age of streaming organically propelled them into a position as one of the world’s biggest, most culturally compelling rock bands. For the band, who formed as teenagers in Tennessee, their 20 year trajectory has seen them grow from youthful outsiders to bone-fide pop culture icons, permeating the musical landscape by inspiring a new generation of musical talent.Their forthcoming sixth album,  This Is Why  – set for release on  Atlantic Records  on  February 10th  –  is preceded by the title track, the most immediate radio hit of the band’s career to date.

Renowned for their arena-filling and festival-headlining performance prowess, the opportunity to see Paramore play their first theater shows in years created headline news. Their upcoming run of intimate live dates sold out in minutes. The band are donating a portion of their ticket sales to organizations working in areas of essential community support, including   Support & Feed.

Paramore Announce Their First North American Tour in 4 Years

Paramore on Friday (July 15) announced their first North American tour since 2018.  Get tickets here.

The concert dates plotted for this fall surround the band's three scheduled performances at the  When We Were Young  festival in Las Vegas this October. The fest was  announced earlier this year .

The last time Paramore played a show was four years ago, according to  Setlist.fm , as they wrapped up a trek that began in 2017 and subsequently covered North America, Europe and Asia.

See the new dates toward the bottom of this post.

The shows kick off in Bakersfield, California, on Oct. 2 and end in Mexico City on Nov. 19. Young the Giant, Japanese Breakfast and other artists to be announced will serve as opening acts at select shows.

Last year, Paramore's  Hayley Williams , the lead singer of the influential rock band who has since gone solo as well,  hinted at a 2022 return of Paramore. That tease seems to be coming true with the new 2022 tour dates from the band. The group's latest album, After Laughter , came out in 2017.

Paramore concert tickets hit general on-sale on July 22 at 10AM your local time. Verified Paramore fan pre-sale registration through Ticketmaster begins this Friday (July 15).
